Imagine a love so great, you create the most gorge Imagine a love so great, you create the most gorgeous restaurant to enshrine it and share it with others. 🥹♥️ This is @tamba.singapore , the beautiful African restaurant named after the owner’s late adopted older brother from Liberia. A talented footballer who proudly proclaimed to be the next Pele, died from a lung infection at the tender age of 19. 🥀 But his memory lives on through his favourite dishes, cocktails named after cheeky conversations and even a bar lovingly dotted with bumps to resemble his tribal scarifications. It was the perfect place to celebrate my 51st birthday, to allow my taste buds to travel to places I’ve never been & now must visit and for my heart to be filled with warm hospitality, and stories of love and generosity. ♥️ Everything was exquisite (also delightfully spicy) but the steak we had was simply outstanding! If you were a fan of @kasohsg, the heritage Canton If you were a fan of @kasohsg, the heritage Cantonese-style zi char restaurant, you would have been just as sad as I was when it shuttered in September 2025 after an incredible 86 years! But they’re BACK for a limited time only at @tanglincookhouse.sg, serving up their famous Fish Noodle Soup, simmered for hours with fish bones & ginger, along with their irresistibly crispy Prawn Paste Chicken Mid Wings. 😋 I also got to meet co-owner, actor & restaurateur @andiechen who acquired @creativeeateries in 2025 together with his two brothers, driven by a passion to protect our local cuisine, promote #madeinSingapore brands & blend their data-driven business savvy with heartfelt storytelling. Who knew ballet could be so hauntingly beautiful a Who knew ballet could be so hauntingly beautiful and achingly devastating all at the same time? 🩰🧛🏻‍♂️🥀 @bigliveco’s ballet retelling of Bram Stoker’s Dracula did that and more, blending classical ballet with mesmerizing visuals and theatre magic. Choreographer, co-founder and principal lead @joelburke_‘s portrayal of Jonathan Harker gave this tragic tale a fresh twist that felt like an extra stab to the heart. While @_z.e.d._ commanded the stage as the lovesick, tormented Dracula delivering mighty leaps, menacing jetés and mind-blowing pirouettes that defied gravity, it was the 4 ghosts who stole the show. Swipe ⬅️ to 👀 how spooky they are! 👻👻👻👻 @abbey_h_xox as Mina Harker was simply breathtaking to watch. Her transformation from blissful bride to tragic heroine was conveyed entirely through dance—a powerful reminder that some of the greatest stories don’t need a single spoken word. Bravo to the entire cast for an unforgettable evening.🩰 Look out for more from this incredible ballet company! Hopefully they return to The Esplanade for the Nutcracker or Great Gatsby soon. Why do I get the feeling that every production @pa Why do I get the feeling that every production @pangdemoniumtheatre puts on is like a love letter to us before they take their final bow at the end of 2026? 🎭♥️ Maybe because it is. 🥹 A Mirror is another thought-provoking masterpiece that asks us to imagine what art—and life—would look like if we censored our own self-expression and the limits of our creativity were heavily policed. How would we expand our consciousness, search for meaning, or explore the depths of the human experience if the only art permitted was propaganda designed to serve a particular agenda? If art imitates life and life imitates art, what would be reflected back in a sterile house of mirrors? Would we become more compassionate towards people who are different from us? Or more hypersensitive and easily offended whenever someone colours outside the lines or challenges our point of view? These are the intelligent rhetorical questions I wish I’d shared when the vox pop crew 🎤asked what I thought of this highly entertaining 2½-hour play (bring a bladder of steel—there’s no intermission!😂). Instead, I offered three buzzwords: Immersive. Funny. Dark. Then spent the rest of the evening wondering why Ghafir Akbar’s minister reminded me of Pritam Singh… and whether that was intentional. 😆 @traciepang, you are a genius lah. 🤭 Or am I choosing to see what I want to see? Hmmmmmm 🤔😏…. You will have to watch it to figure that out! But do it quick because A Mirror ends on 12 July. And make time to unpack it afterwards over a glass of wine because — there is a SURPRISE ENDING and CELEBRITY CAMEO. 😆🤫 ok that is all i will say! 🙊 Brilliant performances from the whole cast @cocowangling @ziggypang @ghafir & @andrewmarkoko!! Bravo guys!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼This play is also Tracie Pang’s final production as a director before this beloved homegrown company closes for good. 😭 Don’t miss it!!
