Anyone else having an underwear crisis? 😂

Perimenopause can feel so overwhelming that every errand you used to juggle with relative ease can feel like a daily battle.

Overwhelm is NORMAL in this season and heck ANY season where you’re being slammed in all directions!

You’re not losing your mind. You’re dealing with a lot.

Hormonal fluctuations can affect sleep, mood, concentration and how well you cope with stress. Add the demands of everyday life, and it’s understandable that everything can feel like too much sometimes.

But here’s the thing: just because your boobays lack support (ok mine are at this moment 🤭) doesn’t mean YOU have to navigate this season alone.

And if you’re resorting to pasties because all your bras are in the laundry?

Girl, we’re just going to call that adaptive problem-solving. 😂

Thankfully perimenopause also comes with less F*** to give so while my boobays are running wild and free, I am keeping it cool, calm and collected.

DM me if you need a perimenopause-coach to get you through it all. 💋🪩

Why do we feel like we have to EARN the right to go to the gym?

I know I do this. I hate leaving things unfinished. If there are dishes in the sink, emails in my inbox or something on my to-do list, there’s this little voice saying:

“Just finish this first.”

Except “this” is never just one thing. There’s always another thing.

And suddenly you’ve spent the entire day taking care of everything except yourself.

So I’m practising walking away & going to the gym instead. 💪🏼🔥🏋🏻‍♀️

Stop trying to do it all ladies. The dishes can wait. And so can work. 😅👊🏼

Wouldn’t it be nice to stop leaving things behind!

Wouldn’t it be nice to stop leaving things behind! 🤦🏻‍♀️ #perimenopausebrain

If you’ve been extra forgetful and between the ages of 40-50 here’s why…

🧠 When estrogen levels swing wildly and decline during #perimenopause, it directly affects the brain regions responsible for attention, planning, and verbal memory.

🧠 Studies show that perimenopausal brain fog is temporary, and cognitive function typically stabilizes after the menopausal transition is complete.

🧠 BUT …. The brain is also rewiring itself making room for new experiences and learning!

🧠 Leading neuroscientists, like @dr_mosconi, describe menopause as a major neurodevelopmental transition where the brain undergoes a structural renovation, shedding certain pathways while strengthening others.

🧠 Basically, the more wisdom you have to store and all the useful skills you want to keep honing that you genuinely ENJOY, the less important mundane things become as the brain focuses its resources on what it deems most critical. This can manifest as a lower tolerance for minor details (which you might forget) and a sharper focus on deeper priorities.

I am like a butterfly in my chrysalis… who knows what I might become! 😂🦋

Join me at @worldmenopauseday on 17 October for more discussions like this! Let’s turn the Pause into Power. The best is yet to come! 👊🏼💪🏼♥️🪩

9/11 was the day the whole world stood still in sh

9/11 was the day the whole world stood still in shock and horror as four passenger planes were hijacked by terrorists - two were flown into the World Trade Centre, one into the Pentagon and the fourth, United Airlines Flight 93, crashed into a field in Pennsylvania, after passengers and crew heroically overpowered the hijackers. Nearly 3,000 lives were lost that day. 😔

And yet, in the midst of one of the darkest moments in modern history, stories about small acts of kindness were about to ripple far and wide from a little-known town of Gander in Newfoundland, Canada.

This is where over 7,000 confused, frightened and stranded “Come From Aways” from 95 countries all over the world (including some animals) were taken in by the kind residents of this seaside community on “The Rock” until US airspace reopened.

Where strangers became friends. And where simple things like offering a sandwich, a hot shower or a reassuring,“You would have done the same” would change someone’s life forever.

I have not yet watched the documentary about this incredible real-life story, but this amazing musical, the last production by @pangdemoniumtheatre, brought it to life with such heart, humour and humanity.

Imagine a small community suddenly having to feed, house, clothe and care for thousands of complete strangers, with no idea when they would be able to leave.

A reminder that the most powerful stories aren’t about the tragedy itself.. but about what people choose to do in its aftermath. That in crisis our automatic reaction is to come together and offer comfort and compassion.

What a poignant note for Pandemonium to end 16 years of local theatre on. 😭

My fave part was the three-way song that blended the Christian hymn “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace” with a Muslim and Jewish prayer. 😭😭😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Love is the only way forward folks. You MUST watch it! Get tickets here: https://ticketing-pangdemonium.bigtix.io/en/events/come-from-away

Ends 27 September at Victoria Theatre. 🎭♥️ Bring tissues!!! 😢
